OMG! Shocked in the last 24hrs we racked up only 1.7million credits, much less than than half what we normally would manage.
The 2 main factors in this are Collatz packing in mid afternoon & Steve seems to be firing on one cylinder at best adding a mere 389K in the last day which even allowing for the Collatz probs is feeble by his god-like standards. Possibly this relates to his garage melt down.

Whatever,
    DON'T PANIC!!!!!!!!! Shocked
Make sure that you've got another GPU project ready in case you run out of collatz work.
Get well soon Steve - we've a billion to bag!

Steve's output has dropped so low, just over 1K yesterday, that I suspect it just consists of pending credit coming through and assume that he is offline. Sad

Collatz is still down. Sad

Despite this double whammy we managed 1.3million yesterday which put us 32nd out of all the Boinc teams.

So, not too disasterous. If we can do that with our top cruncher and our current best project out of action then we truely have some strength in depth which will make sure that TSBT will thrive, come what may. Smile

Having said which I look forward to having both Steve & Collatz back sooner rather than later. Laughing

It's not just Collatz: Aqua has also run dry and won't be back until Monday meaning a big drop in RAC for all the big teams,so hopefully we won't be running backwards too much. I've dropped about 50,000 but I will try and tidy up my lower end projects towards a long term goal of six figures for every project I crunch.
And I may as well do some maintenance like defragging and general clean-ups while I am waiting.

I've moved my two Nvidia GTX260's accross to Milkyway which now offers CUDA 2.3 applications and seems to give a return of about 1000 credits per hour/per card. With a smattering of GPUGrid thrown in for good measure. And WCG running on the CPU's. Hopefully when Collatz comes back online there will be a bucket load of credits outstanding.

My output was way down for a couple of days crunching Collatz while trying to find the time to figure out how to handle the longer MW WU's.....then Collatz went abdomen up and for half a day I had virtually no output at all.

Back full steam ahead now (well almost, since Collatz is still down on my GTX260). But anyway, look for some improved numbers shortly Wink

Slicker is back from yet another hunting trip & is trying to get Collatz working again.

I'm still not able to get new work but our stats did surge by a useful 1 million for Collatz in the last hour! Very Happy Cool

Good News:
I understand that steve will be back soon. Very Happy

Bad News
My top cruncher [i7 with twin GTX260s] has gone offline due to a dead PSU. It'll be a few days before I can sort it so I'm afraid that'll be another 60K drop in our RAC for a wee while.

At this rate [less than 2 million/day] we'll be hard pressed to get that billion before 2010. Sad

Steve's back and crunching mightily again if not quite as outrageously as before.

All the same we beat 3.2M in the last 24 hours which, if sustained, will bag us a billion before the noughties give way to the one-ders.

I've got some new components arriving tomorrow which will hopefully allow me to return 200K+ per day again. Very Happy

....Nice to see Steve back ! Looks like we'll be no.15 on the Big B after all. Very Happy

Looks like BOINC.Italy have found a new top cruncher and he's really hit the gas.... 5M / day since end of november. If it goes on the Italians will be hard on our heals at the Big B and ahead of UBT.... only just! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Yes good to see steve back to something not unlike form.

I've managed to get the i7 to run with one 260. The other has gone onto a ressurected Q6600. Hopefully my contribution will soon be back to par.

This Italian "SpeedMax" is very interesting. Starting as a noob this summer he is now world #15 by TC and #1 by RAC. Shocked
His impact means that we can only brace ourselves for a Boinc.Italy overtake somtime round about February. I'm pretty confident that we will be the next billionaires though! Very Happy
